Star three-year-olds All Too Hard and Snitzerland head a small six-horse field for Saturday’s Group 3 $125,000 2012 San Domenico Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill.
A half-brother to Black Caviar, All Too Hard is having his first start of the spring ahead of the Group 1 Golden Rose on September 15.
The Casino Prince three-year-old has won four of his five career starts, with his only defeat coming to Pierro in April in the Group 1 Sires’ Produce Stakes.
The exciting colt will come from barrier two while Golden Slipper runner-up Snitzerland will run from the outside barrier with Corey Brown in the saddle.
It marks the beginning of a long spring sprinting campaign for Snitzerland who will head to Melbourne to eventually chase Group 1 glory in the Cooldmore Stud Stakes.
Other horses included in the San Domenico Stakes field are Gai Waterhouse-trained filly Drieftontein and Anthony Cummings Golden Rose hopeful Ninth Legion.
